For Lots of Tomatoes, Take Care of Your Leaves - TomatoCasual.comBy Danny Thompson

Tomatoes are, as I’ve mentioned before, essentially bags of sugar and water that the seeds need to develop.

The sugar is the plants method of storing energy that the seeds will feed on until they mature.

As you may remember from high school biology class, that energy is created through photosynthesis, where the plants take the sunlight and through the magic of chlorophyll, convert it into energy it can use.

Therefore, it makes sense that, if you want your plant to produce a lot of tomatoes, you should really focus on taking care of your plants’ leaves.

Keeping them free of pests and giving them plenty of water will keep the leaves full and provide plenty of surface area for energy production.

And the more direct sunlight they get, the more energy they will produce, and the more energy they will need to store.

And where will they store it? Well, they’ll have to produce more tomatoes, of course.
