Did you always have Heinz Tomato Ketchup in your home growing up?

Was a family picnic incomplete unless the ketchup was there?

Heinz is looking for your stories of wholesome memories involving Heinz Tomato Ketchup.

They were having a contest for the best memories, but it ended August 7th. They are still looking for memory submissions, though. If you’re interested in participating, write up a memory of 150 words or less describing your memory. You can also attach a photo – use the JPEG format and make sure that it is less than 5 MB.

Actress and author Josie Bissett shared a statement on the submission page that included : “Heinz® Ketchup was a part of my childhood and is now a part of my kids’ lives. We have made many mealtime memories around the table as a family and are excited to learn more about your family’s memories.”

As the submission page states, “for each memory we receive, Heinz® Ketchup will make a donation to the National Gardening Association, to help families across the country cultivate new memories through gardening.”

These donations will be used to help families create new memories together by helping them set up intergenerational gardens. If you’re interested in applying to start one of these gardens, visit the National Gardening Association. Look for the “Heinz Ketchup Wholesome Memories Intergenerational Garden Award”.

There are also coloring pages you can download that were created by the winners of the 2009 Heinz Ketchup Creativity Contest.

What wholesome memories do you have with Heinz Ketchup?
